Jess’ love of yoga come from her experience as an outdoor athlete, scientist, and the mind-body connection that brings the two together. She began her practice in 1997, and completed her teacher training with Shiva Rea in 2008. Her Prana Flow classes are breath and movement based, awakening the fluid body while marinating in motivation and reflection—with a healthy dose of kinship and laughter. She loves teaching classes that build organically to peak asanas for any level, connecting the body and mind for everyday healing and growth.
Jess founded and leads the non-profit organization Klima International. She is a climate scientist, amphibious anthropologist, and writer. She led a sailing expedition around Latin America for three years for her graduate work on climate resilience. She and her husband returned to Moab with their two dogs to raise their daughter in the canyons and mountains, where they love to play by paddle, pedal, hoof, and ski.
